Badminton Clubhouse is running with pilot clubs and growing from there. We're not pretending to be at scale. We are saying: if you're a club secretary who's tired of the spreadsheet-plus-WhatsApp tax, we'd like to talk to you about being early with us.

How much does Badminton Clubhouse cost for a club?
- Free up to 25 members, full admin, peg board, member portal, payments, with no card required to start. From 26 members your fee is two numbers added together: a size fee (£72 a year up to 150 members, £168 above that) plus a feature package (£0 to £288 a year). A typical 60-member club on Essentials pays £180 a year, about what three members pay in subs. Billed annually, never per member, and the first 25 clubs get 50% off for two years.
Do you take a percentage of our member payments?
- No. Generic membership platforms typically take 2–5% on every subscription, match fee and event payment, across a season that’s hundreds of pounds out of a club’s reserves. We don’t do that. You pay the flat fee (or nothing up to 25 members) and keep 100% of what your members pay you.
Can we migrate from our existing club admin or spreadsheet?
- Yes. We’ve designed the migration with secretaries who’ve actually done it. We’ll import your member list, set you up in parallel with your current system, and only switch over once you’ve signed off. We don’t ask you to learn anything in season.
What about safeguarding for under-18s?
- Safeguarding is built in, not bolted on. Junior accounts are guardian-mediated by default, DBS records are tracked per role, content moderation runs on every public free-text field, and welfare-officer notes are scoped tightly. The architecture is documented and aligned with Badminton England’s safeguarding policy.
Can our members run their club night sign-in on it?
- Yes, the peg board is fully online. Members sign in on their phone or a tablet at the hall, courts rotate fairly (round-robin or by level), and the committee sees attendance data without a clipboard. Half-court mode is supported for clubs that mix levels.
We’re in a league, does that come with it?
- Yes, once the association that runs your league is on the platform. Your league is a competition (format=league) organised by an association (your district or local badminton association), the association is the tenant on Badminton Clubhouse, and the competition engine ships for the 2026–27 season. If your association isn’t with us yet, point them at our for-associations page; we’d love to talk to them about joining the first cohort.
What if we outgrow the free tier?
- You’ll get a heads-up when you cross 25 members so there’s no surprise. The transition to the paid tier is automatic on your annual renewal, same data, same workflows, no downtime.
