Managing Your Family

The Family page (/me/family) is where parents and guardians of under-18 players manage their children's profiles. Children belong to you — not to any specific club — so you can use the same profile across every club they play at.

Note: You only need this page if you're a parent or guardian responsible for a junior player. Adult players manage their own profiles via Your Profile.

Who Needs This

Use the Family page if you:

  • Are a parent or legal guardian of a player under 18
  • Have accepted a club invitation on behalf of a child
  • Want to add another child to your family before applying or accepting an invitation

Getting There

Navigate to Family from your /me sidebar. You'll see a list of any children you've already added. If you haven't added any yet, the page invites you to add your first.

Adding a Child

  1. Click Add child in the top right (or Add your first child in the empty state)
  2. Fill in the form:
Required fields:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth — used to calculate the child's age and to match invitations sent for them
Optional fields:
  • Display name — what the child prefers to be called
  • Gender and pronouns
  • Playing hand (right or left)
  • Ability level
  • Years playing
  • Medical notes — any information clubs should know in an emergency
  • Bio — a short description
  • Visibility — controls who can see their profile (public, clubs only, private)
  1. Click Save to add the child to your family

The child appears as a card on the Family page with their name, age, ability level, and dominant hand.

Editing a Child's Profile

  1. Click Edit on the child's card
  2. Update any field
  3. Click Save

Changes apply across every club the child belongs to — you don't need to update each club separately.

Removing a Child

Click the Remove button on a child's card. A confirmation dialog will appear:

If you are this child's only guardian, their club memberships at every club will be removed. This cannot be undone.

If the child has another guardian (e.g., the other parent has also added them to their family), only your link is removed — the child stays in their other guardian's family and their club memberships are unaffected.

Tip: If you only want to leave a single club rather than remove the child entirely, do that from My Clubs instead.

How It Connects to Clubs

When a club invites a junior, the invitation is addressed to your email (the guardian's), not the child's. When you accept, the child becomes a member of that club and you become their guardian on the system. You can then accept invitations from other clubs for the same child without re-entering their details.
