Leaving a Club
How to remove your membership from a single club without affecting your other clubs
Leaving a Club
You can leave any club from the My clubs page (/me/clubs). Leaving one club doesn't affect any of your other club memberships — they each stand on their own.
Former member status: When you leave a club, you become a former member of that club rather than disappearing entirely from the club's records. This means the club still has a record of your past membership for historical reporting (matches, fees, attendance), and you can rejoin in the future without losing that history. If you do rejoin, your old former-member record stays on the club's records and a new active membership is created alongside it.
Getting There
- Go to
/me/clubs(or click Clubs in the/mesidebar) - Find the club you want to leave in the Active memberships section
- Click the Leave button on that club's card
The Confirmation Dialog
A confirmation dialog appears so you don't leave a club by accident:
Your membership at [club name] will be removed. Other clubs you belong to are unaffected.
Click Leave club to confirm, or Cancel to keep your membership.
Warning: Leaving a club is immediate. To rejoin, you'll need to apply again or be re-invited.
What Happens After You Leave
- Your membership at that club is marked as left (you become a former member — see above)
- The club's committee will see you've left
- The club moves to the Past memberships section on your
/me/clubspage (toggle "Show past memberships" to see it) - Any team selections, fixtures, and history at the club are preserved on the club's records
- If the club later re-invites you or you rejoin, your former-member record stays on the club's records — a new active membership is created alongside
Your player profile itself isn't deleted — you keep your name, contact details, and match history, and they're available to use at any other club you belong to or join later.
Leaving on Behalf of a Child
The Leave button also appears on cards for clubs your children belong to (where you're the guardian). The dialog will confirm you're leaving the club for that child specifically — other clubs the child belongs to are unaffected.
Note: Leaving a club for a child does not remove the child from your family. Their profile and other club memberships stay put. To remove the child entirely, use the Family page.
