Your player area
Tour of your player area at /me — your platform-wide identity, separate from any specific club
Your player area
The player area (/me) is your platform-wide home — the part of the app that's about you rather than any single club. It's where your identity, match history, and personal listings live, all shared across every club you belong to.
Note: When you're inside a specific club (e.g. /sbc/dashboard), you're seeing club-scoped content. The player area sits above all of that — same person, all your clubs in one place.
Getting There
There are two ways into the player area from anywhere in the app:
- From a club page: type
/meinto the address bar, or bookmark it. (A built-in "Back to player area" link in the club header is planned but not yet shipped.) - Direct: go to
/me.
What Each Page Does
Home (/me)
A personalised landing page. Shows:
- A welcome hero with your name + an at-a-glance line ("3 games this month · 2 clubs · next session Tues 7pm").
- Four metric cards (Games this month · Win rate · Clubs joined · Matches logged).
- Upcoming sessions across your clubs.
- A list of your clubs with a one-tap link to each club's dashboard.
- Recent activity (last 5 matches/games).
- Quick actions — host a game, find a club, find a game.
If you haven't joined a club yet, the page reshapes itself around getting started: friendly first-run welcome and a clear "Browse clubs" path.
Activity (/me/activity)
Your full match history across all clubs and pickup play. Filter by All, Club matches, Pickup, or League to focus on one source. Each row shows the context (club + opponent), date, game type, and score.
Clubs (/me/clubs)
Every club you belong to — active and past — as a card. Each card has the club name, your status pill, and quick buttons to open the club's dashboard or your member profile there. Past memberships (lapsed, cancelled) are tucked behind a "Show past memberships" toggle.
Profile (/me/profile)
Your personal details: display name, contact info, address, emergency contact, medical notes, bio, profile photo, and visibility setting. These details apply to every club you belong to — update once and every club sees the change.
The "Danger zone" at the bottom is where account deletion lives.
My games (/me/games)
Games you've hosted, joined, or had recorded results in — pickup games and friendly meet-ups, all in one place. Tap "Host a game" to create one (public so anyone can join, or private with invitations only). Match results recorded here also flow through to your Activity page.
Listings (/me/listings)
A "Find a club" listing you can opt into to tell local clubs you're looking
to join, with the area you're in and a max distance. Off by default — toggle
the Active switch in the card's header to publish.
Looking for a casual game? The page links straight through to Find a
Game (/find-a-game), which replaces the old bulletin-board partner
listing with a real "games near you, RSVP-able" surface.
Settings (/me/settings)
Account, security, and notification preferences in one place. Some toggles say "Coming soon" — those are placeholders for backend features still in development.
Mobile vs Desktop
Desktop
A fixed sidebar on the left holds all the nav. The bottom of the sidebar shows a list of your clubs — one click jumps you straight into any of them.
Mobile
A bottom navigation bar with five buttons: Home · Activity · Clubs · Profile · More. Tap More to open a sheet containing the rest (My games, Listings, Settings) plus a "Jump into a club" featured card.
The colours of the bottom-nav icons matter: green = Home, orange = Activity, rose = Clubs, blue = Profile, neutral = More.
Switching between your player area and a club
The player area is deliberately separate from any club's chrome — when you're in /me/*, you'll see the platform-default colours, not your club's colours. That's a visual cue you've stepped out of "club mode" and into "your stuff".
To jump into a club:
- Desktop: click a club name in the bottom of the sidebar.
- Mobile: tap More and use the "Jump into a club" card.
To come back to your player area from a club:
- Desktop or mobile: type
/meinto the address bar, or bookmark it. (A built-in "Back to player area" link is planned for a later release.)
Welcome Page
If you've just signed up, you'll land on /me/welcome first. That page asks for two quick fields (postcode + a one-line bio) and then drops you into your player area home. It's chromeless on purpose — no sidebar, no bottom nav, just the form.
Troubleshooting
"Welcome to Badminton Clubhouse" instead of "Welcome back"
You haven't logged a game yet and you haven't joined a club yet. The hero copy adapts as you do either.
"—" in the Win rate tile
Win rate needs at least 3 casual games with both scores recorded. Tap the tile or log more sessions to start the counter. Club-night and league results don't currently feed this metric (they're aggregated by team, not individual).
My club isn't in the club switcher
Only active and expiring memberships appear in the club switcher in the header. If your status is lapsed or cancelled, you'll see the club on /me/clubs under "Past memberships" but not in the switcher.
Activity page is empty
Activity covers casual games you've logged, club-night games you've played, and league fixtures. New accounts start empty until any of those happen.
