Arrange your own fixture and message your opponent
In some competitions you and your opponent agree your own date and venue for each fixture rather than the organiser setting one. These are self-arranged fixtures. This guide is for captains (and the players themselves in singles and doubles competitions).
Find the fixture
Open the fixture page. If it is self-arranged you will see an Arrange this fixture section with the current state (Not yet arranged, Date proposed, or Date agreed), a message thread, and the controls below.

Agree a date
- Use Propose a date and enter a date, a venue, and an optional message.
- Your opponent gets a notification and can accept your date or propose a different one.
- Once one side accepts, the fixture shows the agreed date and moves to Date agreed. Play on that date and submit the result as usual.
To change an agreed date, just propose a new one. The fixture keeps its current date until the other side accepts the replacement, so you are never left without a date.
Message the other side
Every fixture has a thread so you can coordinate without swapping phone numbers. Post a message, and tick I tried to reach them if you want to record a contact attempt. Messages are visible to both sides and the organiser.
Note: Juniors cannot post in the thread. An adult delegate - a captain, team manager, or a parent/guardian - can post on their behalf.
Deadlines and reminders
A self-arranged fixture has a play-by date: the deadline to play it. You may also see an arrange-by nudge. If a fixture is not arranged in time you will get reminder notifications, and the organiser is told once the play-by passes.
If your opponent doesn't turn up
If a fixture cannot be played because the other side did not show or did not arrange it, you can claim a walkover from the fixture page. Choose the grounds and, if you like, add a short note. The message thread acts as your evidence. The other side can reply, and the organiser then decides whether to grant the walkover, deny it, or scratch both sides.
