Joining a club after a school session
If your child tried badminton at school (a taster day, a Racket Pack festival, or a schools tournament) you may have scanned a QR code inviting you to keep them playing. That code opens a page showing junior clubs near the school that are taking registrations online.
What happens when you scan the code
- The page shows the school's name and a short list of nearby clubs that admit juniors, with the distance from the school.
- Choose a club and select Register your child.
- Sign in, or create a free guardian account. Your child never needs an account of their own: you manage everything as their guardian.
- Complete the registration wizard: your details, your child's details, a membership choice, and the club's consent questions.
- The club's committee reviews your registration and you get an email when it is approved.
The school reference
Because you arrived from a school session, the final review step shows a line such as "Came via a school session at [school name]".
- It is optional. Select Remove if you would rather not share it; your registration is unaffected either way.
- What it is for. It helps clubs and counties see which school programmes bring new players, so more sessions can run in the right places. It is stored with the registration and never shown publicly.
- Your rights. It is part of your child's record, so you can see it in a data request and it is removed by account deletion, like everything else. See Your data.
If no clubs are listed
Some areas do not yet have a club taking online junior registrations. Try Find a club to see all clubs near you, including ones you can contact directly.
