What a county BA is, and where county admins land on the platform
Counties
A county BA (CBA) is the county-level governing body for badminton, typically the regional org that sits above district associations. It is one of the four first-class audiences on Badminton Clubhouse (clubs, associations, counties, players).
A county sits above associations in the structure (counties are the parent for any associations that opt in via associations.county_id), but the relationship is optional in both directions: a county can run on the platform with no associations beneath it, and an association can run with no county above it.
Where you land if you administer one
If you administer a county BA, it appears on the unified Admin page, the single landing surface for every tenant you administer, across counties, associations, and clubs. The Admin roles entry shows up in your /me avatar dropdown (and the tenant header dropdown) only when you hold at least one accepted, non-revoked admin assignment.
A county admin assignment maps to a tenant_type = 'county' row in admin_assignments, and the admin shell lives at /counties/{slug}/admin/.
What a county can run
Once the county surface lands, for each county you administer you'll see:
- The county's name and the associations it rolls up
- Member-club count, participation reports, and ranking dashboards
- Quick links into the county admin shell at
/counties/{slug}/admin/
The county can also run its own competitions directly, county championships (individual or pair, knockout format), inter-county team competitions, junior pathway events, without going through any of the associations below it.
