Finding a venue to play at
The venue directory lists places you can play badminton: sports halls, leisure centres, and club venues, with courts, session times, typical costs, and how to get in touch. You don't need an account to browse it.
Searching the directory
- Go to Venues.
- Enter your postcode and pick a radius to see venues near you, ordered by distance. You can also filter by county or search by a venue's name or town.
- Each result shows the court count, the cheapest listed prices (such as "Pay and play from £5.00"), which days have regular sessions, and how many clubs play there.
- Switch between List and Map above the results. The map plots every venue in your search: select a pin to see the venue's name and courts, then follow its link to the full page. Nearby venues group into a numbered circle; select the circle to zoom in. Use the expand button in the map's corner to view it full screen (press Escape or the button again to exit).
- Select a venue to see its full page.
What's on a venue page
- Costs - structured prices for court hire, pay and play, guest fees, and memberships, each with a "verified" date so you know how fresh it is.
- Regular sessions - adult and open sessions grouped by day, with times, standards, and prices where known.
- Clubs that play here - clubs on Badminton Clubhouse linked to the venue, with a link to each club's page. Details that come straight from a club's own live listing carry a Verified: live club data badge.
- Location - address, postcode, what3words, and directions.
Some venue pages carry a currently closed notice: the venue is temporarily out of action (refurbishment, for example), often with the date it closed and when it's expected to reopen.
Tip: A fact marked "may be out of date" hasn't been confirmed for a while. If you know it's still right, you can confirm it in one tap.
Helping keep the directory accurate
Anyone with a free account can help:
- Still accurate? - if a price or session you know is correct shows an older verified date, tap Still accurate next to it. That refreshes the date for everyone.
- Suggest an edit - use Suggest an edit on any venue page to fix details, add costs or sessions, or report something that's changed. A person reviews every suggestion before it appears, so nothing goes live unchecked.
You'll need to be signed in for either. Creating an account is free: it's the same account you'd use to join a club.
Note: Please only ever add a venue's public contact details (a reception desk number or bookings email), never someone's personal number.
Is your club missing?
If your club plays at a venue and isn't listed on its page, the club needs a published public page on Badminton Clubhouse. See Setting up your club, or use the Is your club here? link on any venue page.
