How a junior's club fees reach you as their guardian, and how to pay, mark paid, or decline them
Paying for Your Child's Fees
Junior players don't sign in to Badminton Clubhouse themselves, so when a club charges your child a fee, it comes to you. Any fee raised against a junior you guardian, an event fee, a walk-in club-night charge, or a manual charge from the committee, appears on your Payments page and in your inbox, labelled with your child's name.
Where You'll See It
Fees for your children show up alongside your own on the Payments page (/me/payments), you don't need a separate page per child.
Each row shows the usual amount, description, and status, plus a "For [child's name]" label underneath the description so you can tell at a glance which child a fee belongs to. If you guardian more than one child at the same club, each child's fees are labelled separately, they're never merged into one row.
Getting Notified
When a club raises a fee for your child, you get the same notification you'd get for your own fees, an email with the amount, description, and the club's bank or payment details, sent to your email address rather than the child's.
Paying, Marking Paid, or Declining
Fees for your children work exactly the same way as your own once they reach you:
- Pay using whichever method the club has enabled (bank transfer, card, Direct Debit). See Paying for things for the full rundown of card and Direct Debit rails.
- Use I've paid this after a bank transfer, or Decline if you think the fee is wrong.
Note: If a fee doesn't show a "For [child]" label, it's one of your own, not your child's.
Common Questions
My child has two guardians, who gets the fee?
The fee goes to whichever guardian added the child to the club first (or was set as their primary guardian). If you think a fee should have gone to the other guardian, ask the club committee, they can see both guardians on file.
Why didn't I see a fee for my child sooner?
If a club night or event fee was raised before this guardian routing was in place, it may not have reached you. Contact the committee if you spot a payment you weren't told about, they can resend it.
